Fort Papalia

Member of the Board

Fort was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario where he received Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Education degrees from McMaster University. He has lived in Kincardine for the past 40+ years where he and his wife raised 2 children and are now proud grandparents. Fort taught at elementary schools in Bruce County for 30+ years. He founded Kincardine Pride in 2016 and has been its President until recently, guiding the community through its first five Pride Parades, flag-raisings and many other 2SLGBTQIA+-supportive happenings, all ground-breaking events in that rural "conservative" area. Fort was honoured to be invited to assist with the initial groundwork for the SPCC. His other activities include running, weight-training, yoga, choir, theatre and gardening.
