Brock is a passionate advocate for community and belonging. He’s driven by a personal journey of resilience. Raised in a rural community, Brock grappled with his queerness from a young age, lacking the language to express it fully. In high school, he endured brutal violence from peers, yet emerged with a determination to make a difference in the world. Brock has served on many Boards, including Community Foundations of Canada, and the Kitchener-Waterloo Community Foundation, where he served as Chair for 2 years. Inspired by organizations like the Stratford-Perth Pride, he seeks to provide the support he needed as a young person—a place to feel seen, belong, and, most importantly, to feel safe.
